MIM Movie Review: Southpaw & GLOW

Tiffany Kay and Johnny Marks happened to pick almost the same genre between TV show and movie this week!

Johnny Marks gave Tiffany Kay "GLOW" which is a Netflix series. She only had to watch the first episode but here is the general basis of the show. Alison Brie stars as an out-of-work actress living in Los Angeles in the '80s. She finds an unexpected chance at stardom and a way to make ends meet. She enter's the glitter and spandex-laden world of women's wrestling, where she must work alongside 12 other Hollywood misfits. You can already guess what Tiffany thinks of this, right?

Tiffany Kay gave Johnny Marks which is a movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal about boxing.  Jake Gyllenhaal plays a boxer who is the reigning junior middleweight boxing champion, has a successful career, a loving wife and daughter, and a lavish lifestyle. However,  tragedy strikes and he hits rock bottom, losing his family, house and manager. He soon finds an unlikely savior in a former fighter who trains the city's toughest amateur boxers. With his future on the line, he fights to reclaim the trust of those he loves the most. Note: It can be considered a tear-jerker.
