Maynard Man Hurt in Snowmobile Accident

The Fayette County Sheriff is investigating a weekend snowmobile accident.

It happened shortly after 3pm Friday, near the intersection of 100th Street and Highway 150 in Maynard.

20 year old Mason Bantz of Maynard was traveling south in a farm field, when his snowmobile struck a culvert/ditch.

Bantz was taken to Mercy Hospital in Oelwein with injuries and chest pain. A condition report was not available.

Damage to his 1996 Arctic Cat snowmobile was minimal.
