Mattel Launches Star Wars Themed Hot Wheels Cars (Video)

Mattel has ventured to a galaxy far, far away.  They are releasing a line on Star Wars themed Hot Wheels collectables.  The first to hit the streets is Darth Vadar's car.

The first chance to get the Darth Vader car, which comes in a light saber case,  will be during the San Diego Comic-Con.  After Comic-Con, it will be made available to the public.

Darth Vadar's ride has a 'Batmobile' feel to it.  It's sleek, dark, and menacing.  Everything you have come to know about the Sith Lord.

Mattel plans to feature other Star Wars character-based cars.  Chewbacca will be a brawny, heavy-duty work truck.  Yoda will have a "Fiat 500 Abarth" feel to it, and expect several versions of Luke Skywalker in Hot Wheels car form.  There will also be an R2-D2 ride, a stormtrooper vehicle, and others.
