Marshalltown Man Dies In Two-Vehicle Weekend Crash
Authorities are investigating a deadly two-vehicle accident in Marshall County.
According to an Iowa State Patrol crash report, Jorge Cervantes, 32, of Marshalltown, was killed over the weekend when his vehicle crossed the center line of Iowa Highway 330 and slammed into an oncoming semi, driven by Mark Puls, 56, of Gladbrook.
Cervantes was declared dead at the scene. Troopers said Puls was transported to a Marshalltown hospital for treatment following the crash, but they did not disclose the extent of his injuries.
The mishap occurred just north of the U.S. Highway 30 interchange southwest of Marshalltown around 4 a.m. Sunday (Nov. 5, 2017).
