NEI Woman Faces More Charges in Stabbing

An Oelwein woman, arrested in Winneshiek County on drug charges, has also been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident.

32 year old Jade McAllister was initially taken into custody Monday (Feb. 6) for Operating while under the influence 2nd offense, driving while license suspended, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and open container.

The next day (Tuesday, Feb. 7) the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office received a tip that McAllister had been involved in a stabbing in Winneshiek County.

After an investigation and the execution of a search warrant, McAllister is now being charged with Willful Injury, and Domestic Abuse Assault.

McAllister is being held on $13,000 bond in the Winneshiek County jail in Decorah.
