Local Woman Dies in Benton Co. Van Rollover

An Oelwein woman has been identified as the victim of a fatal one-vehicle accident in Benton County.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident happened shortly after midnight Saturday (Nov. 12), on 65th Street, south of Garrison.

A van driven by 24 year old Zoe Goodenbour of Oelwein, went out of control, entered a ditch, overturned, coming to rest on it's top.

Goodenbour was pronounced dead from her injuries.

Sources note that a GoFundMe page has been set up for the family; she was married with three children.

The accident remains under investigation by the State Patrol, with assistance from the Benton County Sheriff.
