Local Legion Asking for Flag Help Today (Wednesday)

The Oelwein American Legion Post is asking for help in putting up about 300 small flags on veterans' graves in Floral Hills cemetery, south of Oelwein.

The task will begin at 1pm today (Wednesday), and with enough help, it won't take very long.

Also, next Tuesday (May 31st), the day after Memorial Day, the Legion is asking for help in taking down the flags, both big and small, at Woodlawn cemetery.

That operation begins at 8am sharp.
