When you ask most people they'll tell you that their favorite holiday is Christmas, but for me, it's Easter. For me, Easter is more than just chocolate bunnies, Easter egg hunts, and stuffing myself full of ham. It's a celebration of resurrection of Christ and the forgiveness of sin. It's a time to be grateful and humble.

One of the stories that has completely gripped me, both as a Christian and as a self proclaimed news junkie, is the genocide being carried out against Christians in Syria and Iraq. Hearing the stories and watching the footage is heart wrenching.

It's hard to imagine a world where people are running for your lives. Hiding there children. Praying they won't be found. All in an effort to live another day.

Here's a video that touches on the genocide, and what you could do to help.

Please join me and pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ this Easter. May the Lord bless and keep them. Amen.
