After almost 22 years in the radio business, I have decided to hang up my headphones and take a different career path.

On Thursday, February 2, 2017, will be my last day. I just wanted to thank all of the K-98.5 listeners for tuning into the Bucky-n-Brooks Morning Show on K-98.5.

I would also like to take this time to thank Bucky Doren for all the great years. I could not have had a better partner, friend, or mentor. Special thanks to my super awesome co-workers both here in Waterloo and in Oelwein. Thank you for putting up with me for all of these years. I will miss you guys more than you know.

Through the years, I have met some of the most wonderful, generous, and heartwarming people. Many have become like family to me, and I will miss each and everyone of you. I have been so blessed to have had such a long run in this business and blessed to have the majority of it be right here in my home state of Iowa. Not many other radio people can say the same thing.

It's been a privilege to play the greatest music on the planet, country music. There's just something so special about it. To me, it's the stories and emotional connection. Country music has a way of bringing all types of people together. It doesn't matter how much money you make, what political party you support, what kind of car you drive, or how big your house is. Deep down, we are all the same.

I would like to encourage all of you that are BnB Facebook friends to check out the new morning show page, "K-Country Mornings". The BnB Facebook page will be going bye bye. I would also like to encourage everyone to keep listening to K-98.5 because you just never know what the chefs are brewing for the future.
