Good news, Keith Urban fans — your favorite singer is back in the studio and making new music!

Urban made the exciting announcement via Instagram on Wednesday (July 19), posting a photo of a switchboard in the studio with a stack of Oblique Strategies perched on top. "Back in studio !!!!!" the superstar excitedly writes alongside the photo.

While the post doesn't give much insight into what kind of songs Urban is creating, if it's anything like his last album, 2016's Ripcordthen we can expect something pretty epic.

Highest-Paid Country Singers of 2017

Ripcord is Urban's ninth studio album, which was his fifth chart-topping release, debuting in the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. It also appeared in the Top 5 on the all-genre Billboard 200 and achieved platinum certification from the RIAA. Ripcord churned out five chart-topping singles, including the multi-week No. 1 hit "Blue Ain't Your Color," plus nominations for Grammy, CMA, ACM and Billboard Awards.

Urban's current single, "The Fighter" featuring Carrie Underwood, sits in the No. 2 spot on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.

The Aussie superstar walked away as the most decorated winner at the 2017 CMT Awards, scoring wins in categories like Video of the Year and Social Superstar. He also came in at No. 9 on Forbes’ list of the highest paid country stars for 2017, bringing in a cool $30 million in the last year.

Could American Idol fans see the country singer return to the judges panel when the reboot launches in 2018? Urban admits that he would consider rejoining the show if the opportunity  presented itself.
