Jimmie Allen's new single, "Make Me Want To," is an infectious, romantic romp into an impulsive love affair. Readers can press play above to listen to the latest track, which comes off of Allen's debut album, 2018's Mercury Lane.

The sultry lyrics of "Make Me Want To," written by Allen along with Paul Sikes and Jennifer Denmark, are set to a catchy melody, delivered in Allen's charismatic style. The first verse opens with a love-at-first-sight glimpse in a bar: "Long legs, cut-off jeans / Pullin' me in like a magnet / Your eyes locked on me / I knew right then I had to have you / Right here in the middle of the floor / Of this hole in the wall on a back street / I knew I had to get close to you ..."

"Girl, what's your name, what you drinkin'? / Yeah, what's your favorite song? / If you're thinkin' what I'm thinkin' / We ain't gonna be in this bar too long," Allen continues in the chorus. "We'll be sneakin' on out to your car / Stealin' kisses out there in the dark / Yeah, it might be too soon to say 'I love you' / But you're gonna make me want to."

"Make Me Want To" follows Allen's heartfelt debut single, "Best Shot," which made history when it hit No. 1 in 2018: The song made Allen the first black country artist to hit No. 1 on country radio with his debut single.

Mercury Lane dropped in mid-October. Allen ended 2018 out on the road with fellow artist Scotty McCreery, as an opening act on McCreery's Seasons Change Tour. Following a holiday break, the trek will resume in late January.
