If 2015 was a year of big changes for Jennifer Nettles, then 2016 will be a year of big debuts. She's got new music coming out in the form of a new album titled Playing With Fire, which she dished about during a visit to the Taste of Country Nights booth before the CMA Awards. She also opened up about her television movie, which will help close the door on this year.

“It’s called Coat of Many Colors, it’ll be out Dec. 10 on NBC," Nettles explains. "It’s the story of Dolly Parton’s childhood and I play her mother when she was a little girl."

Nettles was also in Chicago on Broadway this year, but don't let her growing acting resume convince you she's not dedicated to country music — new music will be out soon! The singer will soon embark on the CMT Next Women of Country Tour, which will help her to promote those new songs.

“I’m gonna be going out and doing that starting in January," she tells us. "It’ll be to promote CMT and the Next Women of Country, but also my new album.

Playing With Fire is expected in March, Nettles shares. She'll also host CMA Country Christmas this week.

Sam Alex is the host of Taste of Country Nights radio, a syndicated night show which airs on more than 60 Townsquare Media Group stations nationwide.
