On Friday, May 15, 2015, the racing action at the Farley Speedway featured the Ideal Ready Mix Tri-Track Challenge featured the Klein Custom Homes IMCA Late Models.

A very strong field of 29 IMCA Late Models checked in on Friday night looking to qualify for the 50 lap main event. When the checkered flag flew it was Cedar Falls veteran Jeff Aikey picking up the hard fought win.

" I am totally whooped," Aikey stated in victory lane. "I ran flat out all 50 laps but it was really fun."

The Thursday night rain made for a very tacky fast track and challenging conditions. Aikey ran up front all race long but his third stint out front was the run that netted him the $2K win.

Jason Rauen led early before going to the pits for minor adjustments, then Tyler Droste took over and ran out front for the majority of the main event until an over heating engine sidelined the No. 31 of Droste. Aikey assumed the point and went on to pick up the victory over Johnny Emerson, Curt Martin and Joel Callahan.

Zach Less broke out of an early race lead pack of cars to go on and score a hard fought win in the Precision Transmission IMCA Modified 20 lap feature. Less came from a 3rd row start to take the checkers ahead of Pat Flanagan and Adam Johnson.

The GSI Collision Specialists IMCA Sportmod feature was won by Austin Heacock of Centrailia on Friday night. Heacock held off several late race challenges by Pat Flanagan to score the win.

Jamie Whitaker visited victory lane on Friday night after scoring the Micro Mod main. It was Whitaker's first win of the young season at the Farley Speedway.

Repeat winners on Friday night were Jerry Miles in the IMCA Stock Cars and Quinton Miller in the Hobby Stock division.

Racing will continue on Friday, May 22nd at the Farley Speedway with all classes in action. SPI is offering free camping at the Farely Speedway on Friday night. Fans are invited to come out and camp and enjoy a night of racing as the Memorial Day weekend will kickoffs with racing action at 7:30 pm.
