Every year since 2014, Rowling apolgizes for a character she killed off. See who it is for 2018. ***Spoilers***

Harry Potter author, J.K. Rolwing, has spent the last couple years apologizing for characters that she killed off throughout the series. This is done annually and usually on May 2nd. The reason May 2nd is an important date in the Harry Potter universe is because May 2, 1998 is when the Battle of Hogwarts took place.

Rowling's first apology came back in 2014 when she honored all who had fallen at the Battle of Hogwarts.
