Iowa’s Favorite Thanksgiving Dessert Is What?

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and that means good food, memories and family time. If you are like me and mostly look forward to the food than you are thinking on the right path! However, I have to say I am not necessarily a fan of turkey (I know that’s not a traditional Thanksgiving) but I am obsessed with all thing’s desserts! My favorite dessert for Thanksgiving is pumpkin pie and really the best time of the year to have it. I mean don’t get me wrong, I love all desserts, but that one holds a specific place in my tummy on Thanksgiving.

However, I decide that I should be trying new desserts this year with my movie to Iowa. I looked up what Iowa’s favorite dessert is for Thanksgiving. Do you know what it is? If you guessed pumpkin bars, you were right! That’s right, supposedly, you will find pumpkin bars on most Iowan Thanksgiving tables this year. I have never had this dessert before, but I am so excited to try it! I mean when else can you have pumpkin flavored things and not be judged?

So now that you know this, make sure to make some pumpkin bars this year for Thanksgiving and I will be around to all of your meals to try one or two just to see who made the best ones… although you may want to hide them from me because I go for one and then you will have none!
