With thunder storms on the way, Iowa State football will avoid a soggy start.

The spring football game that was scheduled for this upcoming Saturday has been canceled. With thunder storms likely in the forecast for Friday and Saturday for the whole state of Iowa, Ames is no different so the Cyclones will shut down the annual spring game. The announcement was made in a joint decision by Iowa State Athletic Director Jamie Pollard and head coach Matt Campbell. The game will not be made up.

This is what Friday looks like in the state of Iowa.
