Iowa Native Takes The Crown At Drake’s “Beautiful Bulldog” Contest

2-year-old Tank from Des Moines took the crown at the 36th annual Beautiful Bulldog contest over the weekend at Drake University.

Bulldogs and their owners came from as far away as New Jersey and Tennessee in hopes of earning the coveted title. They were all defeated by a native son who likes eating snow and watching turtles.

The beauty pageant, which featured 50 dogs, kicked off the Drake Relays track meet. Tank's owner Duane Smith said he found Tank on Craigs List a year ago.
