The University of Iowa men's basketball team handed No. 17 Maryland a 71-55 loss on Sunday, February 8, 2015. The victory was the program's 1,000 all-time in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Three Iowa players reached double figures with Aaron White leading the way with 17 points and eight rebounds. He moved past Matt Gatens into seventh place on Iowa's career scoring list with 1,647 points.

Junior Adam Woodbury and sophomore Peter Jok matched career-highs. Woodbury scored 16 point, and Jok netted 15 points with three 3-pointers.

This win marks Iowa’s 1000th home victory. The Hawkeyes are 1000-351 in home games dating back to 1902.

NEXT UP: Iowa (15-8, 6-4) returns to action Thursday, hosting Minnesota at 6 p.m. (CT) on Mediacom Court. The Hawkeyes beat the Gophers, 77-75, on Jan. 13 in Minneapolis.
