Infant Death In LaPorte City Being Investigated

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Department is investigating the death of an infant in LaPorte City.

On Tuesday, December 20  La Porte City Police and Fire, Covenant Paramedics, and Black Hawk County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a residence on Benton Street in La Porte City for a non-responsive 4 month old male. The infant later died and the investigation is on going by Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office, La Porte City Police, and the Iowa State Medical Examiner's Office.

Autopsy results will not be learned for several days. At this time nothing suspicious has been determined.
