The Farley Speedway roared back to life on Friday, June 3, 2016. The racing action was outstanding on a very well prepared wide and smooth race track.

The Out Pace Racing Products IMCA Late Model feature went caution free all 25 laps on Friday night with Dubuque, Iowa driver Jeremiah Hurst scoring an impressive win. Hurst took command early from his outside front row start and went on to pick up the win. Hurst encountered lap traffic late in the race which allowed Nick Marolf to close the gap but Marolf ran out of time and settled for a strong second place finish. Jeff Tharp took the checkers in third.

The race of the night was the GSI Collision Specialists IMCA Modified 20 lap main event. The feature saw several drivers hold the point position, the first of which was Marion driver Patrick Flanagan. The F7 of Flanagan was pressured by Jerry Luloff lap after lap before Ken Kostenbader joined the lead pack. With the three car lead pack battling, Troy Cordes found the high side to his liking and raced from 10th to take the lead as the field took the white flag. Cordes crossed under the checkers ahead of Luloff and Flanagan.
Tyler Soppe scored his 10th win of the 2016 season with an impressive run in the GSI Collision Specialists IMCA Sportmod division. Soppe took the green in the 9th position and shot to the front early and went on to score the win ahead of Austin Heacock and Troy Bauer.

Phil Holtz scored his second win of the season at the Farley Speedway in the IMCA Stock Car class. Holtz out ran Tom Schmitt and Jerry Miles in route to the 15 lap feature win.
Nathan Ballard from Marengo made his first trip to the Farley Speedway on Friday night and raced in two classes, Sportmod and Hobby Stock. Ballard took to the track quickly and dominated the 12 lap Hobby Stock Feature. Ballard started 7th and quickly raced to the front. Ballard scored the win ahead of Dustin Chapman and Luke Bird.

The 2 Man cruisers were also in action on Friday night and the team of Greg Reimer and Brad Bolsinger took the 12 lap main event win.

Racing action will continue at the Farley Speedway on Friday, June 10th with a full program of IMCA Weekly Racing Series action. Race time will be 7:30 PM.
