Western Christian claimed title No. 3 in Class 2A with a 79-55 victory over Hudson in a game the Wolfpack dominated by getting the ball inside and scoring in transition.

Hudson kept within striking distance for much of the first half. Western was leading 32-25 late in the second quarter when reserve Abbie Wolterstorff gave the Wolfpack some momentum going into halftime, scoring on a putback and hitting a 3-pointer to increase the lead to 37-25.

The Wolfpack then started the second half with a 14-2 run to break it open.

Gesink scored twice in the lane and Bousema drove for a layup after a steal. Pollema's steal set up Jansen's bucket inside and Erika Douma and Gesink hit back-to-back 3-pointers, putting the Wolfpack up 51-27.

The closest Hudson came after that was 59-45 when Casey Miles hit a 3 with 6:51 left. Western Christian responded with a 17-2 run to end any doubt.

Lindsey Koch led Hudson with 20 points. Casey Miles added 11 points and seven rebounds and Corey Miles also scored 11 for the Pirates, who played well but simply could not keep up with the talented Wolfpack.

Western finishes 27-1 with its only loss to Class 3A finalist MOC-Floyd Valley. Hudson finishes 25-2.
