Happy National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day! During the day of January 9th, all across the country people take part in giving back and saying thanks to all people involved with law enforcement. Law enforcement officers of every rank have a calling in life that they chose to follow which puts their life on the line every day for their communities. On this national day, it is a chance for the community to give back and say a thank you to all those involved.
National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day was founded back in 2015 in order to show support and since then organizations across the nation have joined forces to spread encouragement and respect for these men and women. If you want to show support as well on this day there are many little things you can do including wearing blue, turning your social media sites blue or even a blue porch light. You can also just say a thank you to the men and women who serve or offer to buy a meal.
Let’s not forget all the sacrifices they make to keep us safe in our communities and do something kind for them!
