The new and unique 'Frosty Buns Race Series' will debut in the Cedar Valley this winter.

We assume that Frosty Buns are better than Sticky Buns when it comes to racing. So, get off your buns frosty and join Black Hawk County Conservation and Hartman Reserve for the first annual Frosty Buns Race Series.

Black Hawk County Conservation and Hartman Reserve Nature Center are happy to announce our brand new winter racing series, Frosty Buns Race Series, located in and around Black Hawk County. This race series is comprised of 3 races - Iowa Games Championship Snowshoe Race, Winter Warrior Duathlon, and The Sticky Stride.

With this series, we hope to promote outdoor activities and wild spaces right here in our own backyards. All races will take place on public land, taking advantage of both natural and enhanced features that make the Cedar Valley a great place to recreate - even in the Winter!

On January 13, 2018, the Iowa Games Snowshoe Race will take place at the Ingawanis Woodland in Janesville, Iowa.

On February 3, 2018, the series will host the Winter Warrior Duathlon at George Wyth State Park.

On March 3, 2018, the three-race series concludes during the The Sticky Stride at Hartman Reserve Nature Center.
