The first ever LAGSRIDE poker ride will take place Saturday, July 30, 2016, featuring a 21 mile out-and back route between Waverly to Denver on the Waverly Rail Trail. This poker ride starts at 9 AM and finishes at the Dirty Dog located at 1016 W Bremer Ave, Waverly at 1 PM.
Pre-register online for $20 at giveahootforselfhelp.wordpress.com or register the day of the event for $25. Jump on your bike and visit all five checkpoints, drawing a playing card at each one. The best poker hand at the end of the ride wins! There will be many door prizes and a GRAND PRIZE, a brand new, custom fit Trek bicycle from Europa Cycle and Ski!
Miss Hooters International Sable Robbert will join Iowa Hooters Girls Rachel Cillick, Kaitlin Johnson, Rachel Schabilion and Amanda Valenzuela will also be on hand for the event.
Proceeds from the LAGSRIDE poker ride will benefit Self-Help International, an organization that offers long-term solutions for helping families, especially women and children, get out of poverty through education and training in both farming and micro-credit, clean water projects and children’s feeding programs.
