Additional Information

The University of Northern Iowa department of athletics is proud to announce the addition of a Justin Adams country music concert following the UNI homecoming football game vs. Southern Illinois on Oct. 1st.

Alum and former Panther football standout Justin Adams and his band will put on a show in the Hy-Vee Fan Zone west of the UNI-Dome. The gates will open at 8 PM and the concert will get underway at 9 PM.

Tickets ($10 in advance; $15 on the day of the show) are available through the UNItix box office.

Beer and concessions will be available for purchase throughout the concert. Proceeds from the concert will go to the Panther Scholarship Club.

Adams played for the Panthers from 2005-2008, when he tallied 84 tackles in his playing career. In fact, he holds the UNI football record for games played with 54, tied with Bob Swift and Nick Nelson.

Adams grew up in Bixby, Okla., and that was where he got his start in music long before making the trip to Cedar Falls, Iowa, and gaining his college education.

Adams graduated from UNI in 2008 and embarked on his music career, which included some breaks along the way.

"After I graduated from UNI I knew that I wanted to move to Nashville at some point to pursue music," Adams said. "As fate would have it, an old dorm roommate at UNI called to tell me got a job there and had an extra room so that was the moment I decided to go. I packed up my truck and headed to Nashville.

Here's Justin's latest release, "Cowboys's Drivin' Cadillac's".
