Saturday was the Belly-Flop Championships in Oslo, Norway. They call it "Dodsing" meaning Death Drop.

Any lifeguard will tell you that the most requested dive from the kids that don't go off the diving board is a belly-flop. To see a really good one is quite magical. You don't see it coming but when it hits, everyone hears it and a few lucky ones see it.

I worked at the local swimming pool for 9 summers growing up. From the basket kid, to life-guarding, to assistant manager, you see a handful of really good belly-flops.
