Cedar Valley race fans have been waiting all winter, and it is almost here. The 2015 dirt track racing season roars back to life April 1-4, 2015 during the annual Frostbuster specials. Racing legend Kenny Schrader will compete all four nights.

The four days of racing will travel to the Southern Iowa Speedway, Benton County Speedway, Marshalltown Speedway, and the Boone speedway.

IMCA Modifeds will be the headliner as they race for a $1,000 top prize each night. IMCA Stock Cars also run for $500 to win, IMCA Northern SportMods for $400 and IMCA Hobby Stocks for $250 each night.

The top five drivers in each division will earn their share of the $1,000 point funds and IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded at all four shows.

Schrader will be competing each night in his Federated Auto Parts #9 Modified. He currently races on dirt tracks and asphalt tracks around the country. He will also compete in 20 ARCA Racing Series events including the July 17 ARCA event at the Iowa Speedway.

The four-day Frostbuster event kicks off at the Southern Iowa Speedway (Oskaloosa, IA) on Wednesday, April 1. Pit gates open at 5:00 PM, and the grandstand opens at 5:30 PM. Hot laps are set for 7:00 PM, and the racing starts at 7:30 PM.

On Thursday, the racing caravan comes to the Cedar Valley with a stop at the Benton County Speedway (Vinton, IA). The gates open at Vinton at 4:00 PM and the grandstand opens at 5:00 PM. Hot laps are at 6:15 PM and racing starts at 7:00 PM.

On Friday, the Marshalltown Speedway will play host to the Frostbuster. Gates open at 4:00 PM, the grandstand opens at 5:00 PM. Hot laps are at 6:15 PM, and racing begins at 7:00 PM.

The final night of the trek ends at the famed Boone Speedway (Boone, IA). Boone opens the pit gates at 2:00 PM and the grandstand at 3:00 PM. Hot laps start at 4:00 PM, and racing starts at 5:00 PM.
