Deflategate goes to the next level. ESPN Boston is reporting that “league sources involved and familiar with the investigation” that the NFL found 11 of the 12 of the New England Patriots game balls were indeed under inflated.

According to sources, the findings show that the footballs were underinflated by two pounds per square inch of air less than what's required by NFL regulations. These balls were used during the AFC Championship Game which the Pats' beat the Indianapolis Colts.

The league is, of coarse, giving no comment at this time as the investigation continues. The league office expects the investigation will continue for another tow to three days. The biggest question that needs a solid answer is how the footballs actually became under inflated. They were approved before the game, so something must have happened after that point.

The question we wondering, what should the penalty be if the early indications are true? Do they replay the game? Do they let Indianapolis play in their place? Issue a fine? Make the Patriots collect trash along the roads leading to the stadium?

Only time will tell what comes next.
