Darius Rucker hosted his fifth annual Darius and Friends benefit concert Monday night to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville. After the event, Rucker tried to enter Nashville’s hot spot, the Red Door, for an after party being thrown in his honor, but he was turned away at the door because he didn't have his ID. Turns out Darius mistakenly left his ID on his bus. After several attempts to convince the club's gate keeper that he was who he said he was, the country singer gave up and left with out incident.

All in all, we'd say that Mr. Rucker had a successful night. The Darius and Friends benefit has raised over 250-thousand dollars for St. Jude over the years not counting the money raised at this year's show. This year's benefit included performances from Clint Black, The Eli Young Band, David Nail, Cassadee Pope, Kenny Rogers, and Thompson Square.
