Dance & Fundraiser To Be Held For Cedar Valley Vets

Local Unions and H and H Foundation are teaming up to hold a dance to benefit Sullivan – Hartogh - Davis Post 730 Honor Flights in the Cedar Valley. Come and enjoy the music of the band Milk and Honey. Raffles will also be held.

SHD Honor Flight is a non-profit organization dedicated to sending local World War II, Korean and Viet Nam war veterans to Washington D.C. to visit various historical sites and war memorials. They proudly serve Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, North Tama, and Grundy counties.

WWII and Korean War veterans from surrounding areas are welcomed if they are able to fly out of Waterloo Regional Airport. The group is currently only accepting Viet Nam veterans from the five counties listed above.

SHD Honor Flight will be sending out 3 flights in 2016! Watch our upcoming events for more details!

Who: Union members from local unions such as Communication Workers, Electrical Workers, United Auto Workers, International Association of Machinist, Transit workers, Teamsters, NALC, Postal Workers, American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees and other workers and their families.

What: Raising funds for the upcoming Honor Flights

When: Friday April 8th at 6:00 PM Electric Park Ballroom tickets are $7.50 in advance or $10 at the door. Tickets can be purchased from any of the sponsors or by contacting John Padget at the Cedar Valley United Way
