If there's one thing most husbands-to-be feel at their weddings, it's that sense of having their breath taken away when they first see their bride all dressed up in front of them. Dan + Shay took this emotion and ran with it for their "Speechless" video, even using their own, real wedding footage.

Dan Smyers, 30, and Shay Mooney, 26, were married within six months of each other last year to their respective wives Abby and Hannah, and both found inspiration for the love ballad from their life-changing events.

“I had this title ‘Speechless’ in my phone — you’re at the altar waiting for your bride to walk down the aisle, then that moment happens and you have nothing to say,” Smyers tells People. “I remember being up there on our wedding day – May 13, just a little over a year ago – and she walked up and I was at a loss for words.

"When it came time to do the video and given the fact that we had both had weddings the year before, I was like, ‘Man, maybe this video is already done,’" he adds. "I had the crazy idea of taking Shay and my wedding footage [and] parallel those stories to showcase the moments.”

The result is unquestionably beautiful, offering fans a glimpse at the details of both special days — and yes, that "speechless" look on both grooms' faces as they take in the full effect of their lovely brides for the first time.

"Speechless" is off Dan + Shay's upcoming self-titled album, which is slated for release June 22.
