Although their opponent will remain unknown until at least Wednesday, the puck drops on the Waterloo Black Hawks’ Clark Cup playoff run later this week, and the team revealed two scenarios for the best-of-five Western Conference Semifinal.

As the Anderson Cup Champions, the Hawks will face the lowest remaining Western Conference regular season finisher from among the Sioux Falls Stampede, Lincoln Stars, and Tri-City Storm. The series start date will be determined based on when the opponent advances.

Scenario 1, if the opponent completes their opening round series Wednesday

  • Game One will be Friday, April 20th at Young Arena, 7:05 PM
  • Game Two will be Saturday, April 21st at Young Arena, 7:05 PM

Scenario 2, if the opponent completes their opening round series Thursday

  • Game One will be Saturday, April 21st at Young Arena, 7:05 PM
  • Game Two will be Sunday, April 22nd at Young Arena, 5:05 PM

Individual playoff game tickets will go on sale online immediately after the Conference Semifinal opponent is decided. They will be available from the Black Hawks front office by phone or in person the following day.

Fans are encouraged to consider a Black Hawks playoff package, which assure the same seats for every postseason game at Young Arena while also offering savings compared with game day ticket prices. For more information, call the team at (319) 232-3444. The deadline to order a playoff package is Wednesday, April 18th.

The first 1,000 fans in attendance for Saturday’s playoff game will receive a 2018 Clark Cup Playoff poster.
