The Waterloo Black Hawks picked up all four possible points from their two-game weekend trip to the Dakotas.

On Friday, started the two-game weekend with a win in North Dakota beating the Fargo Force. Nick Swaney and Jake Ryczek each scored a goal in the 2-0 win. Robbie Beydoun stopped all 27 shots he faced.

On Saturday, the Black Hawks upended the Sioux Falls Stampede 5-2. Emil Ohrvall netted two goals to lead the Waterloo scoring attack. Nick Swaney and Shane Bowers both scored a goal and an assist. Kevin Charyszyn added a goal to the stat sheet.

The Hawks complete a season-opening four-game road swing Thursday against the Lincoln Stars. Waterloo and Lincoln then meet for a Saturday (Oct. 8, 2016) rematch in the home opener at Young Arena.
