The University of Northern Iowa Panthers wrestling team signed four northeast Iowa high school wrestling standouts to join the team for the 2018-2019 season.

This week Tyrell Gordon (Waterloo East) and Gable Fox (Don Bosco) both signed a National Letter of Intent to continue their wrestling careers as a UNI Panther.  They join New Hampton wrestlers Michael Blockhus and Noah Glaser, who were named last week, as the other NEI standouts joining the UNI 2018-2019 roster.

Gordon was fourth at last year's Iowa high school state championships at 182 pounds. In 2016, he took seventh at the Preseason Nationals at 195 pounds. He is also a Fargo All-American with a fifth-place finish in the 220-pound weight class.

Fox is a three-time Iowa high school state medalist. He's listed as No. 23 on IAWrestle's Fab50 list. The Gilbertville native moved up to 120 pounds to take third in Class 1A at the Iowa High School State Championships as a junior.

Glaser was a district champion at 170 pounds, Glaser took sixth at the 2017 Iowa High School State Championships. As a junior, Glaser compiled a 52-11 record. He  competed at the Iowa/USA Junior Freestyle State Championships, where he placed third at 182 pounds.

Blockhus is a two-time state champion. Intermat has ranked Blockhus No. 15 in the nation at 138 pounds. He is No. 4 on IAWrestle's Preseason Fab50. FloWrestling has him ranked No. 19. He won his first state title as a freshman at 106 pounds in 2015. He grabbed a second title as a junior at 126 pounds in Class 2A. He was second at 120 pounds as a sophomore in 2016.
