UNI Panthers Men’s Basketball – MVC Tournament Bracket & Results
The UNI Panthers men's basketball team are heading back to the NCAA Tournament after winning the 2016 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament -- also known as Arch Madness -- in St. Louis.
The Panthers won their second-straight MVC Tournament and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA by defeating Evansville, 56-54, in the championship game Sunday afternoon. Wes Washpun won the game for UNI with a shot at the buzzer.
After beating Southern Illinois in Friday's quarterfinal game, the Panthers advanced to the title game with a 57-52 overtime win against No. 1 seed Wichita State on Saturday afternoon (March 5).
