The UNI Panthers jumped five spots in this week's STATS Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Top-25 poll, following Saturday's victory over Eastern Washington.

The Panthers (1-1) climbed to No. 9 in the latest survey, which was released on Monday (Sept. 14, 2015). They were ranked 14th prior to beating the then-No.7 Eagles, 38-35, at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls. Eastern Washington (0-2) fell seven spots and replaced UNI at No. 14 in this week's poll.

UNI is one of five Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) ranked in the STATS top-25, joining four-time defending national champion North Dakota State (No. 3), Illinois State (No. 4), Youngstown State (No. 16) and Indiana State (No. 23).

Up next up for the Panthers is another test against a rated opponent -- the second of four-straight on the schedule. UNI is preparing to face No. 18 Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, Calif., this weekend. The game kicks-off at 9:30 p.m (CT) Saturday and will be televised by KGAN-TV (CBS2).

Following a bye week on Sept. 26, the Panthers open league play at Illinois State on Oct. 3, before an Oct. 10 battle at North Dakota State. To view UNI's 2915 schedule, CLICK HERE.
