After Saturday (April 30) night's games, both best-of-five USHL conference finals were tied at 1-1.


Waterloo 3, Tri-City 1 - Final

After dropping Game 1, the Waterloo Black Hawks rebounded and beat the Tri-City Storm, 3-1. Waterloo's goalie Cale Morris stopped 32 of 33 shots. Carson Meyer scored the lone goal for Tri-City. Ben Newhouse and Yuri Terao each scored for the Black Hawks while Nick Swaney added an empty-netter to secure the win. The Western Conference Finals is now tied at 1-1. The two teams travel to Waterloo for a Friday-Saturday set of games in Waterloo.

Morris improved his Clark Cup Playoffs save percentage to .935. Dan Labosky leads Storm scoring with 7 points during the Clark Cup Playoffs.


Bloomington 4, Dubuque 3 - Final

The Bloomington Thunder scored a 4-3 road win to tied up the Eastern Conference Finals at one game a piece. Bloomington jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the 2nd period. The netted two quick goals to get the third period underway. With less than two minutes left in regulation, the Thunder scored an insurance goal which proved to be valuable. The Fighting Saints pulled their goalie. They used the extra attacker to score their third goal :19 left on the clock, but they could not put in the game-tying goal. The series moves to Bloomington for a Friday-Saturday pair of games.

Bloomington's Jake Slaker leads all scorers during the 2016 Playoffs with 11 points. Keegan Ford is the top scorer for Dubuque during the post-season.
