The UNI Panthers won their fourth-straight game, beating the Drake Bulldogs, 82-66, at the Knapp Center in Des Moines Saturday afternoon (Feb. 6, 2016).

The Panthers (14-11 overall, 6-6 MVC) shot a season-best 61.8-percent from the floor and had five players score in double-figures, with Paul Jesperson's 21 points leading the way. Wes Washpun did not miss a shot and scored 15 points with six assists.

Jeremy Morgan set a career-high with six assists and added 14 points. Matt Bohannon scored 12 and Klint Carlson tossed in 11 points off the bench.

Drake (6-18 overall, 1-11 MVC) got 18 points from Reed Timmer, 16 of which came in the second half.

It was a two-point game at 25-23 with 7:04 remaining in the half before UNI used a 10-0 run to seize control of the intra-state match-up. Morgan's three-pointer with 3:53 left in the half ended the run and gave the Panthers a 35-23 advantage. UNI led 41-28 at the half.

Drake cut the lead to eight points in the second half on two occasions before the Panthers extended the lead back to double figures. UNI would eventually lead by 23 at 72-49 with 5:45 remaining in the game.

UNI drained 7-of-11 three-pointers in the second half. Jesperson made four of his five three-point attempts in the final 20 minutes.

UP NEXT: The Panthers will return home on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. game against the Missouri State Bears at the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls.
