The Houston Astros surprised the baseball world by beating the Kansas City Royals, on KC's own field no less, 5-2 in  Game 1 of the American League Division Series.

Scoring two runs in the first and another in the second, Houston found themselves up 3-0 on KC after an inning and-a-half of play. The Royals final pushed a run across the plate in bottom of the second inning. They added another in the fourth, but The Astros put up two more runs of their own to secure the 5-2 victory at Kauffman Stadium (See video highlights).

Kendrys Morales accounted for both of KC's runs going 2-4 and belting two homeruns. Yordano Ventura was roughed up as the Royals' starting pitcher giving up 3 runs, all earned, in only two innings.

The Division Series schedule has Game 2 set for this afternoon (Oct. 9, 2015) back at Kauffman Stadium. The coverage begins at 2:30 PM CT on FOX Sports 1. Game three is slated for Sunday with MLB Network carrying the game starting at 3:00 PM.
