The Hawkeye Community College Redtails women's soccer team begin their bid for a conference championship this weekend.

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference official announced the teams that qualified for the ICCAC 2017 Women's Soccer Championship Tournament. Hawkeye's lady Redtails qualified as the fifth seed.

The Region XI Tournament field has Iowa Western (Council Bluffs, IA) as the top seed followed by Indian Hills (Ottumwa, IA). Both teams earned a first round bye. The rest of the teams include: #3 Iowa Central (Fort Dodge, IA), #4 Northeast (Norfolk, NE, #5 Hawkeye CC (Waterloo, IA), and #6 Iowa Lakes (Estherville, IA).

The Redtails (8-6-1 overall, 3-4-1 conf.) will travel to Norfolk, NE  to take on the Hawks of Northeast CC (11-5-0 overall, 5-3-0 conf.). The game is set for Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 2:00 PM. The winner will advance to the semifinals and travel to Ottumwa to play the Indian Hills CC (11-2-2 overall, 7-1-0 conf.) on Wednesday, November 1 at 2:00 PM.
