The threat of rain and possible thunderstorms has forced a time change for one area high school football game being played tonight (Friday, Oct. 6, 2017).

The metro clash between Waterloo West and Cedar Falls will begin two hours earlier than originally scheduled, Waterloo School officials said. Kick-off for the varsity game has been moved to 6 p.m. at Waterloo Memorial Stadium. The rivalry game was initially supposed to start at 8 p.m.

Due to the time change, Senior Night introductions for the Wahawks will begin at 5:20 p.m.

To accommodate the time change, district officials also announced that the sophomore game between the Tigers and Wahawks has been moved from Memorial Stadium to Sloane Wallace Stadium. The start time remains at 5 p.m.
