Wartburg's Homecoming football game will start earlier than originally scheduled on Saturday (Oct. 14, 2017).

The Knights' gridiron clash against Loras has been moved to 12:30 p.m. at Walston-Hoover Stadium in Waverly. The kick-off was supposed to be at 1:30 p.m. but was moved ahead one hour due to an increased threat of late-afternoon thunderstorms, Wartburg athletic officials said.

No. 22 Wartburg (5-0 overall, 3-0 IIAC) has won 20 of its last 21 home games dating back to 2013. The Knights lead the all-time series 27-9 and are seeking their 13th-straight win against the Duhawks (3-3, 2-2).

A victory by Wartburg would guarantee a 25th-straight winning season for the Knights, a streak that began in 1993. It's the fourth-longest active streak in the nation (all classes).
