All eyes will be focused on the Highbanks of Marshalltown Speedway as track champions will be crowned in five IMCA divisions on Friday, August 26.

This will mark the first time since 1989 the track has had an IMCA Late Model Track Champion. The format for the night will see the top 10 locked into the Feature events for the IMCA Modifieds, Stock Cars, SportMods, Hobby Stocks, and Mod Lites. The top 10 will start straight up by points with the remainder of the cars running a last chance race for starting position.

The Late Models will run 8 lap heats and a 25 lap feature on the evening. Front row starters in the Modifieds, Stock Cars, SportMods, and Hobby Stocks will be eligible for double the money to win if they opt to fall to the tail and 5 laps will be added to their respective feature event. Any cars that have not competed at Marshalltown are welcome to race, they will revert to the last chance race for starting position in the feature.

On tap the following week will be the Showdown at Motown. This will be for IMCA State, Regional, and National points and will feature the draw/re-draw format. The top prize in each division is as follows: Late Models - $750, Modifieds $1,000, Stock Cars and SportMods $500, and Hobby Stocks $300.

The 10th Annual World Nationals will take place on September 15th-17th and will once be broadcast live on Speed Shift TV. The Thursday portion will feature a complete Late Model show plus hot laps for all other divisions.
