The Panthers went on a 14-4 run that was capped by an Ashton three-pointer with 3:35 left on the clock. But the Ramblers would push the lead back to double-digits on a layup from Donte Ingram with 3:03 left in the game. Ingram scored a game-high 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Juwan McCloud scored a career-high 16 points to lead UNI, while Ashton followed with 11. Reserve players accounted for half of the Panthers' points, as UNI's bench outscored the Loyola bench, 33-14.

Redshirt freshman Lincoln Conrey scored the first points of his collegiate career in the game's final minute for UNI. Conrey played high school basketball at Waterloo West.
