Racing action went on Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Farley Speedway although the race program was cut short by Mother nature.

The GSI Collision Specialties IMCA Modified Feature took to the track as a cold front hit the race track as the North wind picked up considerably. The Modified drivers waged a furious 20 lap feature with the lead pack swelling to four contenders through the midway point of the main event. Mike Burbridge drove a flawless race in scoring his first Farley Speedway win of the 2016 season. Burbridge received constant pressure from veteran Jerry Luloff and rookie Modified driver Austin Moyer. Luloff took second by less than a car length ahead of Moyer.

As Burbridge took the checkers the sky opened up and the Out Pace Racing Products IMCA Late Model Feature had to be postponed. The makeup feature will be run on a date yet to be determined.

Troy Bauer and Tyler Soppe lined up side by side in the 4th row of the GSI Collision Specialties IMCA Sportmod feature. The two hot shoes made their way through traffic and finished the 15 lap feature in the first and second positions. Bauer was able to hold off the constant challenges of Soppe including a late race restart which put Soppe on Bauer's rear bumper. Austin Heacock was part of the lead pack the entire race before settling for third.

Tim Helle scored a very popular win in the IMCA Stock main event. Helle was joined in victory lane by a large contingent of family and friends following the hard fought win. Phil Holtz ran second to Helle by ½ a car length, Tom Schmitt crossed the finish line in third.
Brian Happel made his way to victory lane in the Hobby Stock class on Friday night after winning a race long duel with defending track Champion Quinton Miller. Scott Michaelis ran third in the Hobby Stock feature.

Friday, June 17th, the Farley Speedway will hold the annual “Legends Night” as the track will host many drivers who are a great part of the rich history of Dirt Track Racing in Eastern Iowa. A full program of IMCA Weekly Racing Series action will be held with warmups slated for 7 pm.
