The Waterloo Bucks lost their latest game, falling 4-2 at Eau Claire Sunday night (Aug. 7, 2016).

Waterloo (10-20, 32-34) took an early 1-0 lead with a run in the first inning. Lane Milligan tripled to center field and Tyler Curtis followed with an RBI double to right.

Eau Claire (17-14, 42-25) snapped a 12-inning scoreless drought with a run in the bottom of the first, tying the game at 1-1. The Express then took the lead when Daulton Varsho hit his Northwoods League-leading 13th home run of the year, a three-run shot in the fifth inning.

Waterloo cut the deficit to 4-2 in the eighth inning when Adam McGinnis blasted a solo home run down the right field line. The home run by McGinnis was his team-leading 12th of the season, putting him one short of tying the franchise record. It also resulted in his team-high 53rd RBI.

Jonathan Buckley (1-3) suffered his third consecutive loss in the series finale, yielding yielding two runs on four hits while striking out four and walking two in four innings of work.
