2016 Marshalltown Speedway Schedule

The 2016 Marshalltown Speedway features 26 nights of dirt track racing on the high-bank quarter-mile in Marshalltown.

Marshalltown Speedway will open its gates for the first time in 2016 with a test and tune night on Friday, March 26. The practice will run from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The official night of racing opens the season the following weekend. That night will feature drivers from across the upper Midwest competing in the third (of four) night in the 2016 Frostbuster.

The first night of regular weekly racing begins on Friday, April 8, and the final night of weekly racing is slated for Friday, August 26.

Several special events dot the 2016 schedule. The first features the IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series when they travel to Marshalltown on Tuesday, June 4.

The Inaugural Showdown at Motown (Draw/Re-draw format) has been added to the Marshalltown dirt track racing events Friday, September 2. IMCA Modified will race for $1,000 to win. Also racing that night: $500 to win for IMCA Stock Cars and SportMods, $300 to win for IMCA Hobby Stocks, with Late Models.

The 10th Annual World Nationals will close out the 2016 racing campaign at Marshalltown. The event runs September 15-17 featuring a $10,000 for open wheel modifieds.
