On the verge of announcing a new head football coach for Iowa State Cyclones, ISU released their 2016 football schedule.

The Big 12 Conference announced its 2016 league football schedule Tuesday.

The conference shared that several conference games could still have date changes pending network television decisions.

The Iowa State Cyclones will have seven home games in 2016, including five conference games in Jack Trice Stadium.

Iowa State will begin the season by playing host to Northern Iowa in Jack Trice Stadium on Sept. 3.

After its annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series game at Iowa (Sept. 10), Iowa State will play in the first Big 12 clash of the season by traveling to TCU on Sept. 17.

All games will be on a Saturday except for a Thursday night Nov. 3 contest vs. Oklahoma in Jack Trice Stadium.

Kickoff times and date of Homecoming will be announced later.
