Due to excessive high winds and landfill closure, there will be no curbside pickup of garbage in Waterloo today (Nov. 12, 2015).

According to city officials, yard waste carts will be picked up as normal.

A high wind advisory is currently in effect until 6 p.m. Sustained winds of 35 to 40 miles per hour are forecast today, with gusts as high as 55 m.p.h.

Regular Thursday curbside pickup customers will have their garbage carts picked up on Monday, Nov. 16. As a reminder, curbside and yard waste service that was cancelled Wednesday due to the Veteran's Day holiday, will be picked up on Saturday, Nov. 14, as previously scheduled.

All customers are asked to have their carts curbside by 6:00 a.m. on these dates.
