Chris Stapleton has announced that he’s releasing a new yet-to-be-named album on May 5 and added additional dates to his All-American Road Show tour. The tour extensions kick off the same day the album is released.

Rolling Stone Country reports that Stapleton has tapped several of country’s brightest rising stars to join him as opening acts including Brothers Osborne, Anderson East, Margo Price, Lucie Silvas and Brent Cobb. The massive tour takes the singers across the U.S. to major markets including Philadelphia and Los Angeles and a stop at Denver’s historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Stapleton is also set to open for legendary singer-songwriter Tom Petty on his 40th anniversary tour June 29 at Wrigley Field in Chicago.

Country Tours Hitting the Road in 2017

The “Fire Away” singer’s upcoming album serves as the follow-up to his 2015 critically-acclaimed debut project, Traveller, which garnered him  a CMA Award for Album of the Year, Grammy Award for Best Country Album in 2016 and a Top 10 hit with “Nobody to Blame.” The new album does not currently have a title. Stapleton debuted a new song, “Broken Halos,” at Dolly Parton‘s telethon to benefit those affected by the wildfires in Gatlinburg, Tenn., in December of 2016.

Tickets for the new leg of the tour go on sale to the general public on Friday, Feb. 24. The All-American Road Show kicks off March 9 in Texas at the Rodeo Houston and continues through the summer when the tour concludes Aug. 25 in Gilford, N.H.

Stapleton is nominated for three 2017 ACM Awards for Male Vocalist of the Year, Video of the Year and Song of the Year for “Tennessee Whiskey.”
